As our work in Israel grows, this role offers a clear path into leadership. It’s a great fit for an entrepreneurial engineer who wants to grow, keep learning, and work collaboratively with technical people.
We will provide opportunities to travel and spend time with us in North America for training and team development, so you can learn our water technology and systems before site work begins. You will work from home and on site as required, with full technical support, tools, and resources from headquarters to ensure success.
Key responsibilities:

- Lead system installation checks, startup, and handover, with full support from headquarters.
- Monitor, report on, and optimize system performance using Hydra, our AI-enabled operating system. Hydra simplifies tracking, visualizing, and interpreting operating data so you can focus on uptime and optimization. Its built-in virtual engineer can be queried to find information instantly.
- Contribute to the implementation and development of Hydra’s advanced process control features.
- Work directly with our engineering and field services teams to deliver solutions and troubleshoot issues.
- Build strong working relationships with the client’s operations and facilities teams and with Saltworks technical leaders.
- Document field activities, test results, and issues, and share candid site-based feedback and ideas that shape future designs and the next generation of our water technologies.
- Guide and support field technicians and maintenance staff.
- Set the standard for safety by following both Saltworks and site-specific procedures and making sure others do too.
You will be a great fit if you have:
- 2–10 years of hands-on experience in an industrial setting. Field commissioning or plant operations experience is a strong asset.
- An engineering degree (Mechanical, Chemical, Process, or a related field).
- Experience commissioning or troubleshooting industrial equipment and systems, including pumps, valves, and instruments.
- Hands-on experience operating control systems and defining parameters. Programming experience is an asset and should be highlighted, though it is not essential.
- The ability to interpret P&IDs, process flow diagrams, electrical drawings, and equipment manuals.
- Experience in water treatment or other process plants is an asset.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with a safety-first mindset.
- Experience guiding or coordinating technicians or contractors in the field is an asset.
- The ability to work independently while staying in close contact with a remote multidisciplinary team.
- A professional, customer-focused approach and the confidence to represent Saltworks directly with clients, operators, and contractors.
- Clear spoken and written English, including the ability to document issues and findings.
- A valid passport and the ability to travel internationally, including to Canada and the United States for training.
