Chemistry Lab Technician (Entry Level)

We are looking for an early career Chemistry Technician to join our development team. You will be supporting the operation and testing of entirely new water treatment processes. This is an opportunity for a bright motivated person to be part of the team that is providing groundbreaking solutions to a global industrial wastewater problem. 

You are a Chemist who pays very close attention to detail and accuracy. You possess strong communication skills and are able to work both autonomously and in a team. This role will involve quite a bit of chemical lab work coupled with problem-solving, communication, and mathematics related to the results. You will have graduated in the top 15% of your class, as we value scholastic aptitude. We will invest in training capable individuals on desalination, water treatment, plant operations, and technical requirements as needed, so early career individuals are welcome to apply!

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Complete lab plant data collection, wet lab analysis, data presentation, and reporting
  • Prepare the project test plan with input from the technical team and execute
  • Work closely with technical directors to interpret data and determine testing next steps
  • Write test and project completion reports
  • Coordinate maintenance and upgrading of the lab desalination plants with our mechanical and electrical team. For basic maintenance work, you will be required to use common hardware tools to complete yourself; we will provide the training.

You will be a great fit if you have:

  • Relevant Degree or Diploma in Chemistry or Chemical Technology
  • Good grades: please include your transcripts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Mandarin is an asset but not required.
  • Proficiency in working with industrial instruments and tools
  • Strong attention to detail to diligently collect data and prepare reports
  • Organizational skills to meet the project objectives and keep a clean, tidy work environment
  • Solid computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • A team player who works well under pressure and is always ready to roll up your sleeves to pitch in.
